Saskatoon!!!!!!

One of the highlights of Saskatoon all came in one day which was today! A friend of mine by name of Lonni met up with me as she was visiting Saskatoon. We talked about everything from the experiences we have had in the outdoors, and what we have been up to in the last bit! Currently she is living in Medicine Hat and her work created an event for Chase the Cure to benefit Alberta. She works at the Desert Blume Golf Course and the beverage and food servers agreed to give up their tips for a day to make a difference in the fight against cancer. Previously being a server I know the sacrifice of this, as tips are what you live off of while working in any restaurant. Overall they donated $450 and have intentions on doing another day! I was astonished by this and ever so grateful for their generous contribution to the Chase! Thank you to all who were involved in this generous action!

Last night I met up with an extremely friendly cameraman named George from TSN. Throughout the three hour shoot he was fantastic to work with as he continually showed professionalism through all of his shots. He took footage from all angles symbolizing the prairies. He was determined to get a sunset shot no matter how chilly it was outside and we managed to get an absolutely beautiful sunset! A special thanks goes out to George and Daniel
(his assistant) as they truly were great people to meet!

Having family in Saskatoon has been wonderful! Tonight my grandmother and a great woman by the name of Elaine took Scott and I out for a delicious dinner at a restaurant called the Station! It is one of the most unique restaurants I have ever gone to as part of the restaurant is old coach train cars with seating in them! The gentleman who sat us was a part owner of the restaurant named David, and he came and talked with us for a while and we appreciated his company. I later found out that David had employed my father as a bouncer when he used to live in Saskatoon which allowed for some stories to be told, and laughs to be shared! I have to send a special thanks out to the Station, and my grandmother, and Elaine for this great dinner as I throughly enjoyed it!!!!

Tomorrow we head out toward Davidson Saskatchewan on route to Regina to find a Large Tea Kettle.... stay posted and will let you know how our search goes!!!
