Yesterday, I accomplished my goal of searching out the giant tea kettle in Davidson, SK,110km from Saskatoon. I must say though that the headwinds, slight uphill and weather made this day a long and grueling. Once I reached the tea kettle the skies opened up and I was absolutely exhausted. I crawled directly into bed and fell completely asleep for the night. I was hoping to get enough sleep that magically my body would feel like it did before I got sick!
This morning I woke to drips and drops hitting the top of the RV roof and decided to wait and see if the weather would blow over! After waiting a half hour I realized the weather was not going to pass and I just had to prepare myself for the rain and the semi baths that came along with it. I got ready and headed outside to begin and realized that I still had heavy headwinds which would slow me down, and I still did not feel 100%. The going was extremely slow as the incline continued to ascend toward Regina all day! Today was probably the toughest mentally and physically taxing day to-date as I continued finding myself tired and with a uneasy stomach!
Smiling we finally arrived in Regina and met up with my brother and recieved a fantastic hug from my Sister Danni and kiss from her dog Beenz! All of these were completely necessary especially after a exhausting day!
We exchanged the legend driver "Scott Fossay" (shown Below) with the extraordinary Brodie B!
We were welcomed into the home of Janet Wightman and were ever so grateful! Especially after being sprayed by semis so many times a shower was an absolute delight! We will be in Regina for the next few days and will visit with a high school, the Riders, and a cancer centre so please stay tuned to the blog!!!!!
Have a great night!
