WELCOME TO CALGARY!!!!!

The Calgary Stampeders Joined the 'Chase' to end cancer today at McMahon Stadium! When I arrived at the stadium, the Chase was greeted by a pile of stampeder staff, and smiling generous faces. I actually had to ride through a tunnel of Outrider Cheerleaders' pom poms who were extremely excited about the Chase and I thank them for that!

Burke Dales (#16) and Wes Lysack (#31) came out wearing their jerseys and supported the Chase. They were extremely engaging and friendly players who wanted to make a difference and I thank them for offering their time out of their schedule to come down to welcome Chase the Cure to Calgary. Mitch, Mike, Stefan, Melenee and their team from the Stampeders office had set everything out very professionally and coordinated the event very well. They fed a hungry Chase crew, with an absolute delicious meal and went above and beyond what was asked in true champion format. Not only did they make a successful event, they were extremely generous as staff, and made an even more generous donation as an organization. Special to thanks to Ted Hellard who also matched the team's donation, and Stan Schwartz who came out to this event. I would also like to thank Scott Ackles and members of the Stampeder Staff who made this a memorable and successful part of the 'Chase' and truly making a difference in the fight against cancer!

I had a total of six interviews today which will find their way throughout Calgary! So Calgary keep your eyes posted. I thank all the media for coming out to this event and wanting to make Chase the Cure as large as possible.
It is great to see teams able to be competitive within the CFL but also recognize that cancer is a disease which effects everyone in some way, and together we can make a difference..... To end off the Stampeders organization is a class act in the CFL and they proved this today! I will ride with their encouragement into their rivals' city in Edmonton, but in the meantime...
GO STAMPS GO!!!!!!!!!
