Welcome to Eskimo Country & The Monster Boys

Today we were welcomed in Eskimo fashion at the Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton. We were greeted by Dave the Communications coordinator, and Rick LeLacheur (President and CEO of the Edmonton Eskimos).
Upon arrival there was a series of interviews talking about the Chase with reports from Global, CTV, Edmonton Sun, and Metro News. All of the reporters were extremely professional and fun to work with! Following this I took my bike for a lap around Commonwealth stadium.

The Eskimos donated an autographed helmet which will be auctioned off to help in the fight against cancer, as well made a generous donation to the 'Chase'.

Today showed yet again that even though CFL teams compete against each other for the Grey Cup, there is truly only one team when it comes to fighting cancer, and that team involves all Canadians coast to coast.

This afternoon we retreated to a group of men called the 'Monster Boys' whom we had met the night previous. They absolutely blew us away with their generosity, great humor, and big hearts. This morning they called us, and told us we must return to see them again, as they wanted to make a generous donation, cook us a meal, and fill us with gas! We were met by their entire crew who were working in West Edmonton Mall building retail stores, and even heard of them working down south at Simon Cowell's vacation home!!!!

Well, we excitedly accepted their offer and they did not disappoint in any manner. Below, is a picture of the supper we ate (stuffed potatoes, steak and delicious rice.... let me tell you I don't normally enjoy steak but man this steak was absolutely delicious)!!!

As we ate, the manager revealed to us that he had contacted his friends in Newfoundland to take care of us when we arrive there. They also gave us wonderful advice in saying creating memories is one of the most important things a person can do, and they were so grateful for being able to create memories with us!!! My hat tips to these men as they are truly difference makers in the fight against cancer and truly class acts!!!!

We now look east to the Saskatchewan border as we travel out of Edmonton tomorrow morning with our new motoring man... Mr. Scott Fossay!!!!

All have a fantastic night! Even a better day tomorrow. Goodnight from the C-Bus!
